Going to work from home for the rest of the day, it just seems like my concentration is next to nothing lately. Maybe the change of scenery will help.
A self-admitted nerd, I am a newly minted TT- Assistant Professor at New Medical School far away from home trying to navigate the waters of research, funding and tenure all while trying to do some really cool science. Balancing research and life outside the lab is not as easy as I thought it would be.

Vampires
The vampire phlebotomist took the necessary vials of blood for preliminary tests before the big Dr. appointment next week. Seriously, 6 vials. Thank god my doctor is awesome and is testing for a myriad of things, rather than just chalking this up to smoking, or the weather or me being crazy. My arm is killing me, though, and I am now sporting a large purple bruise. Good thing I love the color purple.

I have have similar issues to what you are describing. Tired and achy all the time. I dealt with it for years and am still dealing with it! A little while ago, I figured out that I have celiac disease. I was hoping that cutting out gluten would solve my problems, it didn't solve everything. At least my stomach was feeling better.
Now, I have new health insurance. I have to choose a doc. I just don't know if I want to go through all the testing again!! But I really really hope that they can figure out what is going on for you. I think that you should consider looking into your diet and start cutting out any potentially allergen containing foods. Like maybe cut out dairy for a week and see if you start feeling better. Then if that doesn't change anything, try cutting out gluten etc etc. I fin a lot of how I feel is directly linked to the foods I eat.
But anyway, I haven't read all your posts yet. But I am hoping that maybe this helps a little. Good luck!! Keep us updated. I may have to put myself through all that again soon so it will be great to support each other.
Hey Folks
I've been around here for a while now, and I finally found something worth reporting about: I found a NICE price on custom white Entertainment Centers . These guys have 24/7 phone service & they installed AND delivered my custom Modern TV Stands all for Free!!! I would recommend these guys for anyone interested in improving their home's design

Thanks HME for the info. I am going to the Dr. tomorrow, so if she can't find anything wrong, then I am going to take a long hard look at my diet (which I have to admit isn't great-but hasn't changed any since my symptoms started). It sucks though, just having vague symptoms that could really be a multitude of issues. Anyway, thanks again and I hope that everything will go OK on your end as well....
